BRIEF
Peace & Stability Pte Ltd. is an interactive photobook that aims to visually communicate the rip in social fabric brought about by the advancement of self-service and convenience-technology, gentrification and the resulting displacement of decade-old family businesses in historically significant neighbourhood estate, Toa Payoh.

On top of photography and ethnography, the photobook uses augmented virtual replacement technology as well as the written word to communicate the socio-cultural threat to Singapore’s many historical heartlands through its people.

*The Augmented Reality (AR) aspect of the interactive photobook was implemented through a mobile app created in Unity (Vuforia API for the Android SDK).
Photos and interviews were shot and conducted with all subjects’ consent and kind co-operation.
