BRIEF
To visually communicate the speculative design of an affluent nation built on rampant consumerism in situ.

Step into the hauntingly captivating world of "ADVERSE", a short film that paints a dystopian visual narrative of a speculative future wherein the privatisation of public space in the urban built environment and the consumerist culture brought about by an affluent society converge to create an unsettling reality.
Pervasive advertising bombards our protagonist as he passes through the bustling metropolis - once a beacon of innovation and prosperity - has transformed into a labyrinthine megacity of advertising to the forgotten masses. In this smart city, privacy is a relic of the past, as omnipresent surveillance ensures total compliance with the dictates of a corporate oligarchy.

Above are two scenes from ADVERSE.
